MUSIC
What is it like to fall under the spell of the piano? Genre-defying pianist Will Pickvance (creator of Anatomy of the Piano) spent years trying to refine his tendency to go off on meandering solos and outlandish musical mutations, before realising these were the things that define him. In this performance, he extracts songs, alters rhythms and corrupts melodies to tell the story of his relationship with the piano. ‘Clever, poetic, his piano playing exudes an effortless, almost careless expertise’ (Herald).
COMEDY
Croft & Pearce - There's Always Something
Fringe Favourites and winners of the 2014 Mervyn Stutter Spirit of the Fringe Award are back with a shiny new show! Since last Edinburgh they’ve recorded their first very own sketch series for BBC Radio 4 - listen out for The Croft and Pearce Show. 'Sketch comedy at its very best' (Alistair McGowan). 'Fantastically talented comedians' ***** (BroadwayBaby.com). 'Loads of laughs throughout' ***** (One4Review.co.uk). 'Head flingingly funny' **** (ThreeWeeks).
COMEDY
Zoe Coombs Marr: Dave
What's the deal with pizza? Single with cats? Finding Nemo's girlfriend. Lesbian totem tennis?! My dad's a good guy! Sex turducken. Fresh from Sydney’s Laugh Hole it’s Dave! A stand-up drag parody that is exactly what it looks like and nothing you expect. ‘A comedy turducken of gross-out gags, absurdist humour and sharply observed parody. It’s the most deliciously funny show I’ve seen this year.’ ***** (Age, Melbourne). ‘Quite remarkable... A black mirror on the Australian male psyche.’ **** (Guardian).
PHYSICAL THEATRE
R.I.O.T.
In a world of blockbuster adaptations and endless reboots, four performers dream of being awesome. Playing superheroes, they are caught in a series of conflicts which are both personal, and intricately political. The ultimate battle between good and evil becomes a struggle for identity and representation, in a story they didn't choose. Spiced with comic book and pop-culture references, the epic adventure unfolds through action-packed choreography and projected illustrations.
COMEDY MAGIC
Cassandra: Mary Canary
Extraordinaire and ex-convict Cassandra turns to the noble art of magic in a final desperate attempt for fame. It's Cassandra like you've never seen her before (because you've never seen her before). The legend of Long Island performs such tricks as Tying the Knot and I Saw Myself in Two for You, and is as hilarious as she is tragic - a sight for sore eyes and not to be missed. ‘Wit, poignancy and power’ (Guardian).
COMEDY
Markus Birdman - Grimm Realities
Growing up, my preacher man father made me draw Bible stories. I don’t remember the stories, but I draw great. My previous shows had short jokes, and tall stories. I thought it was high time to combine these with my drawings. Especially since Rolf Harris left a gap in the market. A modern day comedic and visual take on those Grimm’s classics: Cinderella, Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood. A reality-tale for the 21st century. A children’s fable for adults.
MUSIC

'be-dom is a fabulous recipe for one of the most original and fun-filled hours on the Fringe ... had the crowd on their feet at the close in rapturous applause and well-deserved it was too’ (Herald).
