THE TARZAN MONOLOGUES
Renegade Theatre from Nigeria. Written and directed by Wole Oguntukon. Self financing company so cost them a fortune to come to Fringe. But the award has had a huge impact on their Company. They will now get funding from the British Council to come to Fringe again next year!!

MS SAMANTHA MANN - STORIES ABOUT LOVE DEATH AND A RABBIT
Free Fringe in the tiniest of venues -  upstairs in a wine bar in Grassmarket. Fussy shy Librariaan reads her poetry and triumphs at end of show fulfilling her dead brother’s dreams. Written and performed by Charles Adrian Gillott

CHRISTIAN REILLY
Comedy songwriter and performer on Free Fringe - was guitarist in Otis Lee Crenshaw’s (Rich Hall) band The Black Liars. Blistering guitarist and rock singer - who’s funny!

THE WARRIORS - A LOVE STORY by ARCOS DANCE
From Austin Texas - beautiful dance piece with original music and huge visuals by Eliot Fisher. Based on his father’s experiences of WW2 and meeting Eliot’s mother in the book The Warriors

KRAKEN - Trigvee Wakenshaw from New Zealand
Back after his huge hit in 2013 Squidboy - Trigvee is a hugely talented 21st Century Clown. Mime and voice and enormous amounts of audience involvement!

CROFT AND PEARCE
Sketch comedy - perhaps the hardest comedy form of all. Once you start a sketch you have to finish! Two very funny women who write their own material and who also are very good actors. Many sketch shows are not actors and it shows.

THIS IS BRASIL - from Brasil! Prodcued by the legendary Toby Gough. All the dancers and singers and musicians come from the favelas and are self taught in their skills. The shows has been professionally choreographed and produced but each performer had to show their worth in audition first.
Toby has a long reputation of bringing great theatre to the Fringe from many parts of the world - very often untrained talent. Eg the survivors of the tsunami in Sri Lanka. Broken and traumatised children where drama and theatre - and travelling to Edinburgh - were an essential part of their recovery.

BARRY FERNS - Fringe prankster and adventurer and comedian. This award should have been given to Barry last year for his annual show at the top of Arthur’s Seat - where he climbed every day with a door for the audience to enter through! His shows involve all sorts of people often random folk wandering around up there who stumble across Barry, his door and his show. Often they are tourists with no English. His work his engaging, generous, and uplifting.
